Today it is all about Google+. Robert and myself are both advocates of the platform and it has some fantastic functionality under the bonnet(hood). It has now been listed as the second most popular social network behind Facebook and the the activity is certainly hotting up. With the new Communities section and ever developing Google Hangouts along with indications that is having an impact on search people are starting to get all excited.

Even Eric Schmidt former CEO at Google in his upcoming book, “The New Digital Age.” in one excerpt clearly spells out where Google is heading in the future:

“Within search results, information tied to verified online profiles will be ranked higher than content without such verification, which will result in most users naturally clicking on the top (verified) results. The true cost of remaining anonymous, then, might be irrelevance.”
